In the September 2004 Fast Company magazine, it was reported that "48% of American executives admit to having a messy desk, but claim to know where everything is. In contrast, 12% say that although their desk appears organized, they have no idea where to find anything." May I just say that the first 48% are delusional and the last 12% are telling the truth.  Read this article to make sure you are optimally productive in your work space.

Unfortunately, productivity wanes (and morale drops) when meetings are not set up properly. What if you designed memorable meetings (so that people remember to be there, remember what happened, and remember what their tasks & responsibilities are)? Imagine the difference that would make in the higher education setting?!

I never used to provide closure of any type in my classes. I didn't always plan my time well and I would often look at my watch and realize that time was up--or, as a wise professor once said, the 'book bag levitation factor' would come into play, and I would abruptly end class. However, after learning more about the power of 'closure' activities, no matter how brief, I began experimenting with a number of ways to bring my college class to a close--for increased learning--each time we met.
