I highly recommend this book: Ask for It: How Women Can Use the Power of Negotiation to Get What They Really Want.
It’s a must-read for all women, not just women in academia. Order it today (and then get your friends to read it, too). Wish I’d had it to read 25 years ago. Let’s just say it would have paid for me to buy thousands and thousands of copies.
