Good Things Are Getting Ready to Happen – I Just De-Cluttered
Time and time again, when I have gone on a de-cluttering spree, something good happens. And this is particularly true when I get rid of something that is a little tough to part with. That’s really where the magic seems to occur. It’s because when we wrest something away that has been taking up psychological space (not just physical or digital space) then we are opened up for the new.
I have been pruning my bookshelves lately (and some of you Life of E’s members have been the recipients of that pruning) and then yesterday, we actually got under the house, dragged out the boxes of my dissertation data, teaching tools, dishes, as well as other big and little things related to another part of my life.
Recycling and garbage both pick up today; we put things out on the driveway with “free” on them; and the back of my SUV is piled high with items we will take to Goodwill or Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I feel like dancing, to tell you the truth and it’s because I cannot even imagine what great opportunities, learning, or __________ will be coming our way because of this.
Get rid of something major this month and see what happens. It will be good, I know.
