Domain prices increasing in November 2008
Suggestion:
As most of you know, I buy all my domains through 1and1.com (and then either build little sites there using their services or just let them sit there or transfer them to my main webhosting company that builds my main sites). I got a notice the other day that on November 3, 2008, prices are increasing and my guess is that they will on other domain registrations as well.
So, if you are planning to scoop up some more domain names, you might take a look at doing so before November either at 1and.com or some other site that you’ve found useful. I have several more I’ll be buying (probably bringing my total to about 90 or so).
Here’s what I received in my email from them:

1&1 Internet Inc. appreciates your business, and we hope that you are happy with our services.
In order to stay competitive and continue to offer you excellent services, we have made changes to our pricing structure in accordance with the changes in the industry.
For domain renewals and orders as of November 3, 2008, the following domain rates will apply:
.com, .net, .us, .org, .info, .name, and .biz domains will be increased to $8.99 per year
1&1 is committed to offering very competitive prices and professional services in the domain environment and we hope to continue to meet and surpass your service expectations.
PLEASE NOTE:
This price change does not affect free domains included in your package.
If you would like to speak to a representative, please call 1-877-300-8316 from within the US or Canada. Representatives are available 9 am to 5 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
