http://www.internic.net/index.html (which is run by ICANN – the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers for the Department of Commerce) is a place to check which companies can legally sell domain names and you can also check here to stay current on rules related to domains, etc. It’s a place to log grievances as well (not about anything…just domain abuse; I haven’t found the site where I can register general grievances. HA!).
