Ezine Formatting…Can I use a table?

Posted on November 27th, 2007, by Meggin McIntosh

Question:

Using Jeff Herring’s information, I am writing my first few articles to try to post on ezine.  One of them is how to use the distributive property to solve algorithms.  I have found it necessary to show examples using a table.  Will this be an acceptable format in ezine?

Answer:

From everything I understand from the EzineArticles.com site, formatting options are fairly limited–so as to allow the most places to access and publish the articles.  As far as I know, you can’t include tables with your article.  Here’s what I’m wondering though…could you use this as a way for people to contact you?  You write the article with the best explanation you can give, and then in your resource box, you invite them to contact you for examples, which you couldn’t include given the format limitations.  Is that a possibility or not?

And, have you ever written an article for The Mathematics Teacher or one of the other NCTM publications?  At least then you can include all the formatting you want to.

Very glad to hear you are writing articles!!
