Let’s get started…

Hooray! I’m excited that we are working together through coaching.

Over the years, people have heard me ask many times, “How does anyone NOT have a coach?” and I’ve heard this same question from many of my coaching clients. It really is a unique relationship.

Here’s an email I just received recently from one of my coaching clients:

Meggin McIntosh, PhD
quotes-tealWow, that was some call! I loved how we went from a big, abstract, scary beast of a stressor to neatly labeled problems amenable to actionable strategies. It was like walking through a doorway into a different landscape. I’ll consolidate this is an action plan later in the day, but in the mean time I just wanted to say…Thanks!!!quotes-teal
I have had coaches for nearly 15 years and it has made so much difference to me both professionally and personally. Currently, I work with one coach on an ongoing basis (same person for over 6 years) and another coach about once a month, depending on what I have going on and need her help with.

Please take a few minutes to read through this page so you have what you need and can get the process moving along.

1. Schedule Your Coaching Calls

Alarm ClockScheduleOnce is the scheduling program I use to schedule appointments. Please use the link below to schedule your coaching calls for the next month or two. You can set the software to match our schedules and time zones and to set up reminders.

You will click through on the link and schedule your first call and then click through again to schedule the next, etc. The system only allows one appointment at a time to be scheduled.

A confirmation of your scheduled times will be emailed to you directly from ScheduleOnce. In addition, you will get reminder emails, however, it is always better to make sure that it is in your calendar vs. depending on a reminder, so please make sure your calendar is current with your appointments and you have put in whatever reminder system you need.

2. Download Coaching Forms

Prep Form For First Call

Coaching Intro Form (Complete and send prior to our first regular coaching call)

You may access and submit the Coaching Intro Form electronically or download the Word doc and email me a hard copy. Either way, you will have your own copy, too.

OR

Download Form as a Word Doc

For our first regular coaching call, please send me your completed Coaching Intro Form at least 24 hours before the call. If you download the form, please send to me at private@meggin.com. This gives me time to read and consider what you’ve written so that I am prepared for our call. Remember, everything you write and say is always held in the strictest confidence.

Prep Form for all subsequent calls

For all subsequent coaching calls, please complete one of the Coaching Prep Forms. Over the years, I’ve created different ones and you may choose the one that serves you best, because the prep form is primarily for YOU!  If you are using one of the Word docs, you may modify it further to suit your needs.

Please send to me at least 24 hours before our coaching calls. I recommend printing out your Prep Form so that you have it handy and can make notes as we go along. I keep your coaching forms and my notes in a special OneNote notebook to access each time we talk. It’s a wonderful record of the work we’ve done and the progress you’ve made – and you should have an even more wonderful record in your own paper or digital notebook! You may access and submit the coaching prep form electronically or download and email me a Word doc:

3. Sign and Return the Coaching Agreement Form

Pen and pencilYou will receive a coaching agreement via email within a few days. Please read it carefully and then sign and return the final page. You may mail it back to me, fax back, or scan and email – whatever works best for you.

4. Get a Great Notebook

Spiral-bound notebookFor your coaching journey, you will need to get a good sturdy notebook for note-taking and brainstorming. If you prefer electronic, designate a special place in the best system you have (e.g., OneNote). Since you will have prep forms and other materials to add as we go along, you may want a binder or Circa system where it’s easy to add pages, but that is completely up to you, of course! Please have your notebook with you when you are on your coaching calls.
And remember, a great deal of coaching happens in between the calls, so it’s important to have a place to record what is happening as you journey along in this life!

5. Additional Benefits

Coaching clients are offered strategies, solutions, and support in a variety of ways, including:
