Enhance Your Impact
on Others' Learning

(and their perception of your professionalism, too)

----------------------------------

In this 90-minute webinar, learn how to design handouts using Word and PowerPoint (nothing fancy required).  For example:

  • You'll find out how to create handouts that look as if they were produced specifically for a workshop or class (vs. being tossed together from a mix of this and that).

  • You'll learn to polish and refine handouts that you've used in the past so that they are current and fresh.

  • You'll learn to modify your materials so that they have a sharper, crisper look.

  • You'll know how to make sure your handouts are set up in such a way that they enhance the learning of those individuals in your workshops, classes, seminars, or those who are learning from your books, manuals, etc.

  • ...and more, of course!

Note: This is a class for real people who design real handouts to be used in a range of real instructional settings.  And it's taught by a real person who has learned over the years what works and what doesn't - and has been acknowledged frequently for having 1st-rate handouts

Thursday, July 14, 2011

3:00 - 4:30 p.m. (Pacific)

4:00 - 5:30 p.m. (Mountain)

5:00 - 6:30 p.m. (Central)

6:00 - 7:30 p.m. (Eastern)

All participants will be invited to send in a sample of some handouts that they would like critiqued and enhanced as part of the class.  (We'll do some "before" and "after" views).  You (and the other class members) will get specific tips, tools, and techniques that you can apply to your own materials.

About Your Presenter:

Meggin McIntosh, Ph.D., known as "The Ph.D. of Productivity™" is a former teacher, university professor, and director of her university's Excellence in Teaching Program.  She is currently (and happily) the president of Emphasis on Excellence, Inc. and says,

I am a little (some would say VERY) particular about handouts and materials that are offered in workshops, classes, meetings, and so forth. I believe that our materials represent our professionalism.  Why not put your best 'self' forward?

Note:  This class is back by popular demand.  I wasn't planning to teach it this summer, but the number of requests from professors, teachers, and others who take my classes and teleseminars encouraged me change my mind and put this one in our summer line-up.
